Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Art Museum Listening Workshop by Peter McDonald was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,310.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter McDonald achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work How it is in April last year with an auction result of HKD 1,512,000.00 (€ 182,811.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Art Museum Listening Workshop von Peter McDonald wurde im September 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.310,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter McDonald erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit How it is im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.512.000,00 (€ 182.811,81).
