Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Loading the wagon (illustrated); and Figures conversing on the foreshore by Peter La Cave was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 625.00 (€ 790.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter La Cave have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures outside an inn, with a sow and piglets, houses beyond; and Figures sharpening a scythe, with two donkeys, farm buildings beyond in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,509.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Loading the wagon (illustrated); and Figures conversing on the foreshore von Peter La Cave kam im Juni 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 625,00 (€ 790,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
