Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work A Rustic Scene With Ruins Beyond by Peter La Cave. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,386.33). Other works by Peter La Cave have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,509.87) in October 2011 for the work Figures outside an inn, with a sow and piglets, houses beyond; and Figures sharpening a scythe, with two donkeys, farm buildings beyond.

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Rustic Scene With Ruins Beyond von Peter La Cave zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.386,33) einen neuen Besitzer.
