Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Painting 1969 by Peter Joseph was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,911.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Joseph have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pink Orange Colour with Brown in December last year with an auction result of EUR 44,475.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Painting 1969 von Peter Joseph wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.911,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Joseph auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pink Orange Colour with Brown im Dezember letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 44.475,00.
