Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in Beverly Hills held the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS, which included the work Landscape With Sunset by Peter Hurd. The price achieved of USD 5,975.00 (€ 4,506.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Hurd achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Solitude in April this year with an auction result of USD 126,000.00 (€ 114,130.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in Beverly Hills die Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With Sunset von Peter Hurd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.975,00 (€ 4.506,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Hurd erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Solitude im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 126.000,00 (€ 114.130,43).
