The work Cow with Straw in its Mouth by Peter Hujar was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in London in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,280.94), 26% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Hujar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Wojnarowicz Reclining (II) in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 157,500.00 (€ 136,340.03).

Die Arbeit Cow with Straw in its Mouth von Peter Hujar wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.280,94) und damit 26% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Hujar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Wojnarowicz Reclining (II) im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 157.500,00 (€ 136.340,03).
