The work Pathfinder by Peter Cain was auctioned at Christies in New York in September 2017. It achieved a price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 25,395.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 67%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Cain - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Omega, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 77,500.00 (€ 70,333.06).

Die Arbeit Pathfinder von Peter Cain kam im September 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 25.395,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 67%. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Cain mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Omega beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 77.500,00 (€ 70.333,06) versteigert wurde.
