Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Bialobrzeski could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples auction, the work Shanghai, from the series 'The Raw and the Cooked', 2010 changed hands for GBP 375.00 (€ 420.46) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Bialobrzeski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heimat #20, Allgaü 2003 in September 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,048.12).
