Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (grey wedge), 1968-69 by Peter Alexander was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 31,875.00 (€ 32,582.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Peter Alexander have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September last year the work Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s was auctioned for USD 55,000.00 (€ 56,219.97).
