Despite a disappointment, a good price for Peter Alexander
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s by Peter Alexander for USD 55,000.00 (€ 56,219.97). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Untitled (turquoise triangle), circa 1970s is the most expensive artwork by Peter Alexander that we have observed at auction so far.
