Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April this year Bonhams held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Berry's Bay, Misty Morning Original: S.A. Parker Framer, Sydney (label attached verso) by Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 8,610.00 (€ 5,160.54), 23% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Fossicking For Gold, which sold at auction in May 2009 for AUD 28,800.00 (€ 16,296.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Berry's Bay, Misty Morning Original: S.A. Parker Framer, Sydney (label attached verso) von Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 8.610,00 (€ 5.160,54) und damit 23% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Fossicking For Gold beobachtet, die im Mai 2009 für AUD 28.800,00 (€ 16.296,08) versteigert wurde.
