Auction result well in line with expectations
In August this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Fred and Elinor Wrobel CollectionThe Artist's Eye, which included the work On the Rail Track by Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay. The price achieved of AUD 3,444.00 (€ 2,055.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Fossicking For Gold in May 2009 with an auction result of AUD 28,800.00 (€ 16,296.08).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 3.444,00 (€ 2.055,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Perceval (Percy) Charles Lindsay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Fossicking For Gold im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 28.800,00 (€ 16.296,08).
