Auction result well in line with expectations
The work ‘Solovki’, White Sea, Russia, 1992 by Pentti Sammallahti was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in October 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,764.00 (€ 1,958.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Pentti Sammallahti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Solovki, White Sea, Russia', 1992 in May 2017 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,896.22).

Die Arbeit ‘Solovki’, White Sea, Russia, 1992 von Pentti Sammallahti wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
