Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Artist (Alexander Brook) by Peggy Bacon was auctioned at Bonhams in January this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,020.00 (€ 939.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peggy Bacon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Few Ideas, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,254.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Artist (Alexander Brook) von Peggy Bacon kam im Januar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.020,00 (€ 939,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Peggy Bacon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Few Ideas beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.254,91) versteigert wurde.
