Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peggy Bacon could be acquired at Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts in May this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art | Bonhams Skinner auction, the work Diego Rivera changed hands for USD 640.00 (€ 600.71) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Peggy Bacon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Few Ideas in August this year with an auction result of USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,254.91).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peggy Bacon konnte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Marlborough, Massachusetts für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner wechselte die Arbeit Diego Rivera für USD 640,00 (€ 600,71) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peggy Bacon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Few Ideas im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.254,91).
