The work Desplazamiento by Pedro Ruiz was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2014. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,826.98), 63% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pedro Ruiz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Odontoglossum Harryanum sold at auction in May 2016 with the realized price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,942.07).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 23.826,98) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pedro Ruiz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Odontoglossum Harryanum im Mai 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.942,07).
