In November 2013 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Colaboración by Pedro Ruiz. The »bidding war« ended at USD 21,875.00 (€ 16,077.47), 46% above the upper estimate. Other works by Pedro Ruiz have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,942.07) in May 2016 for the work Odontoglossum Harryanum.
