The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 8,907.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pedro Friedeberg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vision y presagio del profeta Habakkuk in May last year with an auction result of USD 69,300.00 (€ 64,579.26).

Die Arbeit Chinoiserie Lunaire von Pedro Friedeberg kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 8.907,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pedro Friedeberg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vision y presagio del profeta Habakkuk im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 64.579,26).
