The work Calaveras by Pedro Coronel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in December 2019. It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,040.97), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pedro Coronel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Año 1 luna in March this year with an auction result of USD 693,000.00 (€ 637,417.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calaveras von Pedro Coronel kam im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.040,97) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pedro Coronel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Año 1 luna im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 693.000,00 (€ 637.417,22).
