Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Online, which included the work A Fortified Bridge In A River Landscape by Paul Sandby. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,667.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Sandby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sandby'S Views Of North Wales in July 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 301,931.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fortified Bridge In A River Landscape von Paul Sandby zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.667,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Sandby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sandby'S Views Of North Wales im Juli 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 301.931,72).
