Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Flutter In The Evening Light by Paul Partos was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in May 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 17,654.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Paul Partos have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2003 the work Untitled 12 (X,O, Paintings Series) was auctioned for AUD 35,250.00 (€ 19,512.43).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 17.654,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
