The work Untitled 12 (X,O, Paintings Series) by Paul Partos was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in May 2003. The price achieved of AUD 35,250.00 (€ 19,512.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled 12 (X,O, Paintings Series) is the most expensive artwork by Paul Partos that we have observed at auctions so far.
