Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2011 Phillips in London held the auction The Valencia Collection, which included the work Reflexion by Paul Morrison. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 16,196.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Morrison - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Protoplasm, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2011 führte Phillips in London die Auktion The Valencia Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Reflexion von Paul Morrison zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 16.196,35) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Morrison mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Protoplasm beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36) versteigert wurde.
