The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,671.41) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Lacroix - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life with Peaches, which sold at auction in January 2024 for USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,113.27).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Still Life With Vegetables von Paul Lacroix kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.671,41) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Lacroix mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life with Peaches beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für USD 13.860,00 (€ 12.113,27) versteigert wurde.
