This artwork by Paul Klee achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2012. In the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper auction, the work Winterbild sold for USD 794,500.00 (€ 610,684.09) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Klee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bunte Landschaft in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,707,933.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Klee erzielte im November 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Winterbild für USD 794.500,00 (€ 610.684,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Klee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bunte Landschaft im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.707.933,74).
