Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art, which included the work Windmills in a polder landscape by Paul Gabriël. The price achieved of EUR 6,875.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Gabriël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters, 19th Century and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Windmills in a polder landscape von Paul Gabriël zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.875,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Gabriël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.000,00.
