In November 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters& 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism., which included the work A Fisherman In A Rowing Boat by Paul Gabriël. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,000.00 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Gabriël have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.

Im November 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters& 19th Century Art - including Dutch Impressionism. durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Fisherman In A Rowing Boat von Paul Gabriël zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.000,00 und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Gabriël auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.000,00.
