In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art, which included the work A farm and a windmill in an extensive polder landscape by Paul Gabriël. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,375.00 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Gabriël achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2013 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A farm and a windmill in an extensive polder landscape von Paul Gabriël zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Gabriël erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A painter, possibly the artist W.B. Tholen, at work in a punter on a sunny day im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.000,00.
