This work of art by Paul Jones could be acquired at Christies in Sydney in December 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE CONTENTS OF BRONTE HOUSE auction, the work Strelitzia Nicolai changed hands for AUD 2,820.00 (€ 1,683.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Jones have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flushing a mallard; and Chasing a rabbit in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 7,946.47).
