In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work The Rhythm of Music by Paul Guiragossian. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,880.00 (€ 56,246.67), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Paul Guiragossian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Lutte De L'Existence in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 605,000.00 (€ 445,049.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Rhythm of Music von Paul Guiragossian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 56.246,67) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Guiragossian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Lutte De L'Existence im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 605.000,00 (€ 445.049,29).
