Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work End of an Age #1 by Paul Graham. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,100.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Graham - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man Exposing Torso, American Night #42 -, which sold at auction in October 2017 for EUR 19,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit End of an Age #1 von Paul Graham zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.100,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Graham mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man Exposing Torso, American Night #42 - beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für EUR 19.500,00 versteigert wurde.
