Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction House Sale, which included the work Leader of the cavalry going over the plan of attack by Paul Émile Léon Perboyre. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,670.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,800.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Émile Léon Perboyre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Cavalry Engagement In The Franco-Prussian War of 1870-71 in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 48,736.48).
