Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Madison Square Park by Paul Cornoyer for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,376.10). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Paul Cornoyer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,475.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Madison Square Park von Paul Cornoyer für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.376,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Cornoyer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.475,58).
