Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Construction Site, New York 12 1/8 x 16 1/16 in. (30.8 x 40.8 cm.) by Paul Cornoyer. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,564.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Cornoyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New York Public Library in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 133,000.00 (€ 85,475.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Construction Site, New York 12 1/8 x 16 1/16 in. (30.8 x 40.8 cm.) von Paul Cornoyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.564,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Cornoyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New York Public Library im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 133.000,00 (€ 85.475,58).
