Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pink Jug by Patrick Caulfield was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts in September this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,408.00 (€ 1,408.00) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Patrick Caulfield achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Foyer in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 665,000.00 (€ 784,634.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pink Jug von Patrick Caulfield wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.408,00 (€ 1.408,00) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Patrick Caulfield erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Foyer im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 665.000,00 (€ 784.634,62).
