Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Cheeto Returns (Dynamic Blue) / Not Sure if You Know This But I'm an Artist (Red Strainer) - This is Actually so Hype (ParkerItoArt.com) by Parker Ito was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 2,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 7,812.00 (€ 8,674.56). Admittedly, works by Parker Ito have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Agony And The Ecstasy in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 68,244.78).
