Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Day Auction, which included the work Ecriture Series I #3 by Park Seo-Bo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 327,600.00 (€ 39,609.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Park Seo-Bo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ECRITURES NO. 10-79-83 in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 10,260,000.00 (€ 1,171,553.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ecriture Series I #3 von Park Seo-Bo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 327.600,00 (€ 39.609,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Park Seo-Bo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ECRITURES NO. 10-79-83 im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.260.000,00 (€ 1.171.553,93).
