Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman Eating Bhutta by Paritosh Sen was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,249.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paritosh Sen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ahmedabad Scene in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Woman Eating Bhutta von Paritosh Sen kam im März 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.249,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51).
