Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Self-Portrait) by Paritosh Sen was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2015. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 5,245.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paritosh Sen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ahmedabad Scene in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Self-Portrait) von Paritosh Sen wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 5.245,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51).
