Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction Indian Art, which included this untitled work by Paritosh Sen. It changed hands for a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 20,535.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paritosh Sen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ahmedabad Scene, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2009 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Indian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paritosh Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 20.535,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51) versteigert wurde.
