Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2012 Christies in London held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Joueur de Flute) by Paritosh Sen. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 24,764.76). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paritosh Sen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ahmedabad Scene, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Joueur de Flute) von Paritosh Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 24.764,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51) versteigert wurde.
