Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art, which included the work Suddenly There Was Water All Around by Paritosh Sen. The price achieved of USD 78,000.00 (€ 56,888.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Other works by Paritosh Sen have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2006 the work Ahmedabad Scene was auctioned for USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Suddenly There Was Water All Around von Paritosh Sen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 78.000,00 (€ 56.888,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2006 die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene für USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51) versteigert.
