Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With Fruits And Vegetables by Paritosh Sen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,729.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Paritosh Sen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ahmedabad Scene in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life With Fruits And Vegetables von Paritosh Sen kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.729,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51).
