Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Refugees by Paritosh Sen was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,292.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paritosh Sen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ahmedabad Scene in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 84,000.00 (€ 66,209.51).

Die Arbeit Refugees von Paritosh Sen kam im September 2012 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.292,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paritosh Sen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ahmedabad Scene im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 84.000,00 (€ 66.209,51).
