The work Red Roof and Bamboo Garden by Pang Xunqin was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. It achieved a price of HKD 384,000.00 (€ 38,570.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pang Xunqin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Roof (Painted In 1977) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).

Die Arbeit Red Roof and Bamboo Garden von Pang Xunqin wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 384.000,00 (€ 38.570,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 54%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pang Xunqin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Roof (Painted In 1977) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
