Upper estimate price exceeded by 88 %.
This artwork by Pang Xunqin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. In the Modern Asian Art auction, the work Let The Wind Take Me Home sold for HKD 562,500.00 (€ 66,395.14) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pang Xunqin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Roof (Painted In 1977) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
