This artwork by Panamarenko achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2019. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work The Magnetic Space Ship sold for EUR 81,250.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Panamarenko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prova-Car in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 343,838.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Panamarenko erzielte im November 2019 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit The Magnetic Space Ship für EUR 81.250,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Panamarenko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prova-Car im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 343.838,65).
