PANAMARENKO (1940-2019) Magnetic Spaceship (i) signed, numbered and dated '1/50 Panamarenko 81' (on one of the edges) (ii) signed, numbered and dated 'Panamarenko -81- 1/50' (lower left) (i) wood, copper spools, iron, polyester, aluminium (ii) printed paper collage, pencil and ballpoint on paper (i) 67 x 60 x 14cm. (ii) 50 x 100cm. Executed in 1981, this work is number one from an series of fifty, of which only seven has been realised
Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Magnetic Spaceship by Panamarenko was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 12,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Panamarenko achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Prova-Car in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 232,000.00 (€ 343,838.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Magnetic Spaceship von Panamarenko kam im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 12.600,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Panamarenko erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Prova-Car im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 232.000,00 (€ 343.838,65).
