This artwork by Pan Zhenyong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Seeking Inspiration For Poems In A Hermitage sold for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,271.57) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pan Zhenyong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hermitage By The Bamboo Grove in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pan Zhenyong erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Seeking Inspiration For Poems In A Hermitage für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.271,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Zhenyong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hermitage By The Bamboo Grove im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
