The work Maidens by Pan Zhenyong was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. It achieved a price of USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,980.40), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Admittedly, works by Pan Zhenyong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hermitage By The Bamboo Grove in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 875,000.00 (€ 98,581.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Maidens von Pan Zhenyong wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.980,40) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Zhenyong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hermitage By The Bamboo Grove im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 875.000,00 (€ 98.581,85).
